Gorilla Glue is a stretchy plant that can generate a bountiful harvest. Its rapid growth rate is suitable for both indoor or outdoor cultivation, although you can bump up the yield outdoors if you have a warm and dry climate. If you live in a place with high humidity and lots of rain, however, you would be better off growing it indoors. The flowering period is pretty quick – only eight weeks – and that means you can maximize the number of harvests in a year. Check out our growing tips for the best results.
Our Gorilla Glue seeds are feminized so that your plants are guaranteed to emerge as female. We have eliminated the male chromosomes because only female cannabis plants produce cannabinoid-rich buds. Additionally, females are blessed with higher levels of THC, the main psychoactive compound that gives you that high. For this particular strain, the amount of THC has been found to be on the heavier end of the scale – between 25% to 30% in most cases.
If you choose to grow Gorilla Grow indoors, make sure to feed it magnesium, calcium, and sulfur. Those are on top of the usual nitrogen, phosphorous, and potassium. The optimum daytime temperature during the vegetative stage is 80 degrees Fahrenheit. You can drop it down to 75 degrees Fahrenheit once it enters the flowering stage. This plant likes a low relative humidity of 60% in the beginning, and then 45% towards the end. Using a hygrometer (with a built-in thermometer, too) will help you to prevent mold proliferation and bud rot.
As mentioned earlier, this strain will benefit most from the Screen of Green training method. Because it is a lanky plant, you will need a screen to support the canopy, with holes big enough so that it can grow through. This method is actually the most productive and energy-efficient way to grow indoors. It allows you to pull back your plants and spread them out so that all of them can receive adequate lighting.
Growing this strain outdoors is also relatively problem-free. It has a high resistance to diseases as long as the growing environment is warm and dry. It will not respond well to extreme swings in temperature and humidity. Nevertheless, outdoor growing will result in a higher yield because the flowering period can be extended by a couple of more weeks. The snowy buds will be ready to gather by mid-October. Gorilla Glue is densely packed with trichomes and extremely resinous. It will stick to your fingers and clog up your cutting tools for sure, but it is that gluey resin that gives it its name.
